As an integrated systems provider with highly competent and highly effective subsidiaries we offer multifunctional, high-performance surfaces based on nanotechnology. Developed within our own laboratories as a modular technology platform, it provides companies with a "one-stop shop" for the entire process, from concept to execution – fast, reliable and to a high standard.
We operate in the core areas of nanotechnology and offer services along the nanotechnological value added chain, from the selection of the necessary raw materials and the synthesis and formulation of the material systems, right through to process control and the enhancement and large-scale serial production of the finished surfaces. In this way, we realise the potential of nanotechnology as a cross-sectional technology on a daily basis.
Focus on four attractive sectors
As an integrated systems provider, our services are directed at high-growth industries. Here we concentrate on our particularly attractive target markets: Automotive/Mechanical Engineering, Buildings/Interiors, Functional Textiles and Sport/Leisure.
In the Automotive/Mechanical Engineering sector we offer solutions and applications for industrial clients. Examples of applications in which these are used include exhaust gas recirculation systems, plastic parts used in automotive engineering and heat exchangers. In this field, Nanogate-Technologie® ensures that for example friction between the various components is optimised, both dirt deposits and corrosion are reduced and that the manufactured plastic surfaces are scratch-resistant and of a high-quality optical appearance. As a result, customers benefit from greater energy efficiency and longer service lives and process intervals.
The fields of application for the Buildings/Interiors sector are many and varied, containing applications for both interior and exterior spaces. In the field of building coatings, Nanogate´ NanoGuard® line offers numerous external applications for mineral substrates which dramatically reduce dirt adherence and thereby make cleaning much easier and protect the surface from weathering. In the field of internal applications, Nanogate has developed a broad range of coatings for glass surfaces. The enhanced surfaces are much more resistant to dirt, more hygienic and easier to clean without aggressive chemicals.
The application area Functional Textiles offers a variety of solutions to enhance fabrics. Technical textiles can be equipped with different functionalities on a modular basis, such as storage and barrier properties, enhanced wicking or hygienic properties. Numerous applications are used, particularly for filter systems, which can be upgraded into high-performance filters – from industrial filters to domestic or automotive systems. Nanogate-Technologie® also ensures that fabric car seats are protected from both dirt and flammability.
For the Sport/Leisure sector the Nanogate Group offers a wide range of care products for use in the outdoor and leisure market. Nanogate began serial production for many new products following the end of its innovation offensive at the end of 2010, and these products are now successfully being distributed by well-known partners.
